Just a quick heads up that our current show is now online. showandtellgallery.com/collection.phpThe show is a collection of water colors that were created by Ryan Dineen while living across the world in Bali. He spent 3 months living in the jungle creating these pieces and they have all traveled across the world with him. They are inspired by Balinese life and the mysticism of Balinese culture. To give you a little background as I am sure very few if any have heard of Ryan Dineen before. He is an accomplished graffiti artist who's work can be seen all over the world. He has been bombing for over a decade under the moniker Rony or Ronz and is one of a handful of Canadians who can say they are part of the world famous Seventh Letter Crew. A street piece inspired by this show - Production he did with Sever, Vicious, and Dane last time he was visiting in LA. (photo from The Loss Prevention) If you get a chance check out the show. You can also see photos from the opening on our flickr page. Would love to hear feed back from the board as well so please dont hesitate to post. showandtellgallery.com/collection.phpwww.flickr.com/photos/lletdnawohs/Cheers, Simon Cole Show & Tell Gallery simon@showandtellgallery.com

Next show opening this Friday... FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Show & Tell Gallery presents Future Fantasies and Memory Playback New work by ELICSER October 17 - November 9 2008 Opening reception October 17, 6 - 11pm Elicser’s art consists of free form collages, grounded in structure and form using characters. At times the pieces are experimental, using available materials and experience, always based on life in the city; the artist’s muse. For almost 12 years, artist Elicser has been producing and showing work in Toronto. From working with local underground artists on murals and art shows, to producing work for clients such as Society Skateboards, Vestal Watches, Brahma beer and the Toronto Jazz Festival, Elicser’s work has been featured and reviewed in publications such as Mix Magazine, The Globe and Mail and NOW Magazine. A participant in the recent Manifesto Arts Festival and the artist who brings Toronto the HUG tree installation on Queen Street West, Elicser remains an active figure in the local street art scene. Elicsers most recent body of work, Future Fantasies and Memory Playback is a reflection on a city that is changing by the minute. Using old found images of Toronto, the pieces draw on history, showing a contrast between the old and the new, between cobblestone and concrete, flat brims and top hats, reminding us to see the future, and remember the past. Gallery Contact: Simon Cole Gallery Director Show & Tell Gallery phone: 416-833-9084 email: info@showandtellgallery.com All the work will be listed online following the reception.
