Do you find yourself so psyched for an upcoming show that you start to feel nervous and stressed, like at a sporting event? I ask this cause I feel this way right now about the Stella show at Gallery 1988. It's all I've been thinking about lately. I only have two artists on my purchase plans for this year and one is Stella. This has only happened once before to me and that was the Nicoletta Ceccoli show at Dorothy Circus Gallery last year. I have a good feeling I'll be stressed for Nicoletta's next show too. Is this a common feeling?

I lost sleep the night before Josh Keyes was in Denver last October. I was nowhere near the top of the list to buy an original, but I was still super excited to see his show. We don't get much good stuff here in Colorado so it's a pretty big deal for me when someone noteworthy comes to town.

Yes, I do get nervous before a show sometimes if I really want something because you usually don't know where you stand on the list... Just waiting for them to call you can be the worst. Also, some shows are first come first serve...so just trying to call in and getting the busy signal can be nerve wracking.
Good luck with Stella Mute!

i also get nervous, but it's more like an excited nervousness. and when you end up getting something you like, that "rush" feeling happens.

I was nervous about Audrey's Copro Show months in advance...and in the weeks before the preview went out, it just got worse. I was very unproductive the week before the preview finally went out.

it's always nerve-wracking waiting for the preview when you really want something from a particular artist. it's even worse when the preview finally comes out and you're waiting to hear back to see if you got a particular piece. having a whole 2 seconds to decide what you want before your chance slips away doesn't help much.
