This won't affect our national and international collectors too much, but for those local and those who plan on visiting the gallery.... Roq La Rue Gallery is officially moving! After 15 years in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, we were very recently informed we'd be losing the lease on our space. After much panicking, we strangely and serendipitously found an incredible new spot in the historic Pioneer Square neighborhood the very next day! Excited about this transition happening right on the eve of Roq La Rue's 15th anniversary, we decided to get the gallery properly built out as fast as possible and host our May show in the new exhibition space. On May 2nd the new space will have it's grand opening with a solo exhibition by Stacey Rozich, from 6-9pm (to co-incide with Seattle's First Thursday art walk). Our new space features a bright and elegant "white cube" type exhibition environment, as well as a small upstairs gallery space to be used a "project room" for smaller exhibitions. We hope you will join us for the party if possible, and we also wanted to notify everyone that our new listing address should be: Roq la Rue Gallery 532 1st Ave S (near King) Seattle WA 98104 (206)374-8977 www.roqlarue.comBest wishes, Kirsten Anderson

just went in there and saw the space and stacy's show, you're stupid if you don't buy a piece. The colors pop out and the detail is amazing. definitely fresh in this era of big eyed girls, anthropomorphic animals, and spray paint.
