On another note, Guillermo told me he put me in his new novel, The Strain. I guess there is a character in it who is an art collector that has me and Mark Ryden in his collection! Nope, it's in there. I just got to that part last night. It was you, ryden and one other artist that i'm drawing a blank on right at the moment but good company to be sure! Still haven't made up my mind if I like the book or not yet though. Thought it started off really well but it's kind of dragging a bit now. So weird- on a whim I just thought I would leaf through the book and see if I could find it. So I go to the middle of the book, open it, and low and behold, it was on the first page I turned to! God bless that man...

Spotted this over at www.creepmachine.com. It's an older post but thought many had missed it? Info from Creep Machine belowChet Zar Art Army Figure (sculpture) Mike Leavitt made an amazing figure of Chet Zar for his Art Army series. The figure is 10″ tall, and is an articulating polymer clay action figure. The mask comes off and shows Chet’s face underneath. The figure comes in either a blister pack or glass display dome. This is an amazing figure and anyone who loves the work of Chet Zar would be lucky to snag this up. intuitionkitchenproductions.com/actionfigures/artarmy/

Yes, I love that woman making off with a precious baby. I must admit I am a fan of blue hues, and these are done nightmarishly good!

Thanks. It's going to be a small solo. Only 7 pieces I think. They are finally starting to come together, so I am happy.

The last two pieces on the other page were extraordinary. I’ve never felt such a connection to Chet’s work, simply amazing.

Love the new diection, beautiful work! Also loving the piece of the woman holding the baby. (what's the storyline here?)
Could you share your thoughts on the shows "Lilith" theme.
Thanks Chet.

Thanks. I'm having fun with it. Just wish I had a little more time. The "Lilith" theme came about in a conversation I had with Gary Pressman. I was telling him that I wanted to do a show with all female characters (since I have only painted females 2 or 3 times). We were talking about ideas and both kind of said, "Lilith" at the same time. So I looked it up on Wikipedia and the myth was very dark intriguing. As far as the baby stealing image- that was one of the older myths about her. She would roam around and steal babies in the night. It's a really interesting read: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilith
