Just realized that all the pieces above my computer are birds. so here they are: artists Left to right: San, Susie Ghahremani, Mitsy Avila Ovalles (wood burned) now if marcusslo would sell me his pirate owl, it would round out the collection nicely feel free to post any of your birds

very nice bird collection. i like themed collections. was this on purpose or it just turned out that way? i seem to end up with a lot of marine animals...

i recently just stuck up the tiny ones and just realized they were all birds. i would like to collect rhinos, but that doesn't seem to be a common theme

my theme somehow turned out pink paintings for a while... totally wasn't intentional, I don't even like pink as far as clothes, furniture, etc

I think it says a lot about me... Once I find "her" and am married, I wonder if this (that which we find alluring) changes? In high school it was different: I loved the bleak, dark or wild stuff like HR Giger, Bosch, Dali. I still think the world is that dark, but I'm a little more optimistic these days than back then. I have a framed print of "The Key" by Tiffany Bozic hanging at the most prominent area of my living room wall: Above the fireplace! I'll post a pic right here once I upgrade my cell phone (in 2 weeks). It's a huge piece of a hummingbird holding its head high, and wearing a key 'round it's neck. See here: www.blkmrktgallery.com/store/photos/19.jpgI also have a kickass painting and I cannot share it!! Not even the artist. Why? It would reveal my identity to a potentially lurking gallery (the one that sold it to me). If my identity is revealed, forget it: I wouldn't be able to post my honest feelings about things in general. I do own Esao Andrew's "Dowsing Finch" original painting however. One of my treasures. I'm sharing this 'cause I'm pretty sure the gallery I bought it from doesn't know about this site. Yet. As mentioned earlier, pics are forthcoming... But here's the URL to the image: www.esao.net/images/finch.jpg

You're the first I've "met" that owns that print as well! Just two degrees of separation between us! cool. Tiffany Bozic has a show coming up in May. Of course, we all know her prices have been in Audrey Kawasaki territory for a long time already... Rhinomilk and sleepboy! Thanks for the kind comments! It's always a great feeling to have one's taste in art validated by others! I believe that could be the best piece in my collection. Believe it or not, it's the first painting I ever bought!! Back in 2004 or 2005.

Jeff, I have a Sam Flores bird painting from a 5024SF show in 2005 (or was it 2006). I will leave it at S7 so ask to see it next time you are at the shop. You can have it for 05-06 prices if you like it because I don't know what to do with it at this point and I feel bad keeping it in a box.
