BIO:
A well recognized name in the Chinese contemporary art scene, some of Shen's art works are collected by some of China's leading museums and galleries. Shen refers to his experiences as a Chinese military officer to create approachable and recognizable art. His unparalleled commitment to quality is evidenced by his hand carving of wood boards and other materials used for his artwork.
Born in Jiangsu Nanjing, China in 1965. Graduated from Nanjing Xiaozhuang Normal School in 1984. Graduate of Nanjing Institute of Arts in 1991. 1991—2007 Conscripted to Military Drama Troupe of Nanjing Military Area.

As an artist with deep roots in the People's Liberation Army (PLA), this series of the three military branches is Shen's signature characters. The wood boards are hand carved by the artist himself. Each print is hand finished and signed by the artist.
