gotta give some love to daniel. he works like a mother, and is really into what he does. he keeps art available and accesible to the masses and that is a very noble and selfless act, imo.
good to see that he's on artchival finally- hopefully he'll start posting some process work or something soon... would love to see some behind-the-scenes stuff.

For sure, I would've thought his name would at least be up. Glad to see someone else agrees with me on this one.
I picked up his card at gallery1988 and fell in LOVE with the portraits. Need to contact him about buying some work. Apparently, he isn't selling the latest editions. It says, "Sold to Geisai". I guess he's working to be in that Miami thing. Either way, there are a few left in the series. Gotta snatch one up before they sell out

wow! Thanks lisa for starting this thread. Andrew Hem told me about this site and it's pretty incredible. Thank you guys for all the compliments. Tessar, remind me to get you a drink next time i see you! yeah, I've been taking a break from painting those monstrous things. Took me about 7-12 weeks to complete them. The portraits take me about 2 hours to do. I guess I wanted to figure some things out. I see the portraits as character studies for a bigger project. I've been working on a painting over the summer where I take the new character and combine the older cityscape. Here is a work in progress... Gary from copronason wants me to put it up for the dec show but not sure if I can finish it by then. I recently applied for Geisai Miami so if I get picked, Ill have to do 100 drawings by Dec. Also, I recently got a job painting 144 paintings for a hotel....good money, once thats done, I'll have some working time to dedicate myself to become a full time painter. to see the 1000 drawings in progress, you can head over to www.fawnfruits.com/fawnfruitsDaniel Sorry for the huge files, don;t know how to resize them can't seem to get the artwork up.... danielhyunlim.blogspot.com/to see what I'm talking about

Welcome... There is a short tutorial here on how to post pics. PM me if you have any problems still. I'm not very good at resizing either...i just dump it into iphoto (or any other photo program) and say I want to email it and then it resizes it. Wow, you are painting a buttload of paintings. Hope you have a reasonable deadline. Did you take on a new name recently as an artists? I thought I recognized your work...
