EPICFAI, not only are they super easy to deal with but good forbid something is damage like I have had they are super fast to make payment and there is no BS like other companies the amount you insured the work for is the amount they pay, also you can adjust your account meaning ad pieces to it online as long as they are valued under 10K and do not need a true apprasial for it. i'm in the process of getting some art insured by them now and they are so easy to work with. what kind of damage did you have? I know they don't cover drop-damage.

had a window open in my condo the front door slammed shut knocking off a large framed piece that hit a small canvas under it, cutting deep into the canvas and the glass when it shattered sliced the framed print causing both of them worthless needless to say they were fast to take my call at midnight and had everything handled in less then 6 days

If your gallery can't book the real "AK" you can always find a knock-off AK and give her an online show.

Tomorrow I will have a email and if I like the piece I guess my no art buys this year will go out the window really quick, sadly cause I have spent why to much money on new furniture, well I guess with my new print purchase I have already broken this rule , Hmmm who has released a print recently, odd cause I never buy prints but who knows maybe something of a small run, super lucky to have been called on it.

My brain is totally snowed in I was talking to a friend about an artist and I can't think of the name, so I know the answer is here. Description; Does paintings with floating spheres made of recycled or industrial materials. The detail is impeccable and often have a very heavy urban mood. He also had a paint your own model/toy. Please name that artist. I'm almost positive he has a thread but couldn't find it with my search phrases. Thanks in advance

I saw one of his pieces for the "Who Killed The Music" Grammy show that had those moving parts. He reached up to move it to show us but security stopped him briefly until they realized he was the artist haha. It was pretty cool though...

i have to agree with you on paul chatem...
black maria gallery had some of his moving pieces at aqua. it was fun to play around with the cogs. an equal level of artistry and craftsmanship seem to go into his recent works.

I went to his show last Friday. It was cool chilling with him, Jim "FOOD ONE" Mahfood, and Jason Shawn Alexander... talking comics. Such nice guys... and you should see what they can do with Sharpies and fat chisel tip markers... LOL.

Three things I am hating about the board:
1. the I can't believe it took this long post about an artist .... It is condescending and obnoxious....If you really cared you should have started the thread awhile ago....
2. Posting previews without artist or gallery approval : This is a sure fire way to have galleries and artists start shunning the board... after the opening hour the flood gate can be open even if it is berens but before the galleries have obligations and madness to their reasons. If you need a preview ask somebody to PM and they almost always do....
3. Massive Assault on a few specific galleries...if you don't like their artist mention it once don't sit there and continue to insult them...but if the artist is part of the board and asks for critiques then feel free to give advice as much as you want.

I agree, I guess the mods can't control #s 1&3 but I think they should not allow #2 Posting previews without artist or gallery approval
