Yah, I think Mattlock showed me her work a while back and I really liked it but forgot her name and never followed up on her. She's having a show this weekend with Laz. She's pretty nice and answered some questions as well as sent us some preview pics. Check it out here.

Love her work. Always felt her pieces and Cherri Woods' pieces has a lot of parallels in terms of style, with Candice's being more dark of course. Her OGs are hard to come by though. I think the first piece you have up there is being turned into a print.

Candice is very talented, I've been following her work for quite sometime now and it continues to go from strength to strength and she is a lovely person too. She designed the wallkandy rabbit for me 'Edward' and made a 3D version too. He's cool. I always carry a bunch of edward stickers with me so if you ever meet me ask for some. Check her blog out on on her site too. www.candicetripp.comEdward gets around a bit, he's been spotted in Thailand, New York, Norway, London, Newcastle, Hollywood, India......

If you have never checked out her blog, you would not realize she has a sense of humor. She posted up some pretty funny valentine's cards she made haha.

This is a bit off topic from the current banter.........., but should Candice really be under Lowbrow/Pop Surrealism? I feel like it has more of a urban/contemporary feel, but it may be because I relate LAZ more to the urban/outsider genre.
I think her newer stuff is cool, and she is only going to get better and better. Her work is very reasonably priced to,imo.

So Liner has the New York show I hope the LA Show happens first so the prices don't sky rocket...BTW had a horrible time dealing with a NY Gallery this weekend, was treated rudely and they were obnoxious for the record it was not the Liner gallery, but because of previous interactions I have sworn off NYC galleries for the time being and will just with my new years art resolution At Joshua Liner: Candice Tripp November 28 to December 23, 2009

Yeah the rumor is that Candice will be L.A mid year. She is fabulous! Sorry to hear about your experience evil, it really is unnecessary behavior for anyone to act that way.
