Hey Thom, Just wanted to say I really like some of the work on your site. Some of those sculptures are very cool. I especially like the one second row, second from the right hand side. Reminds me of 'The Wicker Man' almost or the statue they burn at Burning Man. The bottom left corner one is another one there that I really like. There are a couple of your ink drawings I like too. Please keep posting them up as you make them.

Hello everyone, first post here but I'm a longtime lurker. Thought it time to show my work on here. I'd appreciate enormously any advice about how to go about seeking gallery representation particularly from the UK members. I feel very isolated here in Liverpool. The image is called The Chav-ant Garde and is oil on canvas.

Thank you Floatingtrees, your foetus is taking shape nicely! Is that acrylic washes you are using? And thank you too for the warm welcome Svenman. Me and the Stuckists went our separate ways a few years ago now. This painting was quite cathartic as it's about my own dysfunctional family. I started with pencil drawings then worked over them with digital tools to get the composition (see below). Then began the painting - which was a mammoth undertaking.

Thanks Naivejohn, it's pen & ink with gouache. First time using gouache - weird stuff - feels like watercolor but it's opaque. How long did it take you to complete your painting?

How long did it take you to complete your painting?[/quote] A year. Used jeweler's lenses and tiny brushes for details. Lots of over and under painting as well as 4500 individual 'pixels' to paint. I had to develop software to aid in the mapping out of the pixels. A great deal of effort went into ensuring the surface was super smooth, no canvas grain or visible brushmarks. It was commissioned for the www.davidrobertsartfoundation.com/
