High Heals , smoking and painting all at the same time, sexy I must say, I have a problem even painting WITH shoes on , I feel confined for some reason, hell, she has heals on !!

I asked Hera about this when I was in Norway, her reply was simple 'You have to your best all of the time' fair comment I guess.

Probably old news but as I was doing some research for our little interview, I came across this.



You two used to date. How much has that intimacy enhanced your ability to successfully create together and communicate better through the art?

Hera: How did you know about this? Well, we were stupid. We thought we were in love just because we loved having the same interests, being able to be creative together, share job duties to make a little money and have someone to talk to while on the road. Crazy, huh? We weren't. Take graffiti off the list, and there was little left that we liked to share. Anyway, back to the very good question, whether that intimacy enhanced our ability to … create together… To all street-art duos or whatever teams or colleagues: for the sake of work-flow, go and have sex first. It releases any type of crazy tension that clogs your thoughts and once that stupid tension is gone, people can get back to being creative.

A new book coming out.

[wallakndy]

The book should be out around April time 2009. I'm excited about seeing it particularly as it will have some of my pictures in it from the various times I have photographed them. I love shooting them as they paint with such energy and at such speed. It's amazing to watch their walls evolve layer after layer.

Herakut will be auctioning off a piece at Phillips de Pury to benefit War Child. They will be in there in person on March 10th for the reception. There will also be some pieces in progress to show their process a little.
