Anybody as big a fan as I am of Herakut. I don't own anything yet but they are one of my absolute favorites. Here's some pics of pieces I wish I owned...

It's actually a guy and a girl. She is Hera and he is Akut so everything is a collaboration. I just choose to focus on her! But yeah it's not cheap. They sell the majority of everything they put out. Sketches start around $900 and small simple 10x10 paintings start around $1,500 but I would say you need a good $3k-$4k to get a really awesome piece.

I felt the majority of the pieces were priced a bit high, but that may be due to our weak dollar after the exchange rate.

My favorite piece is "She Was So Rich"

I finally got a chance to stop by the gallery last night and check out the show. It is even better than expected. They do so much on each piece you would never be able to see in any pics. They do hand sticthing on a lot of them that just looks unreal. Seeing all these things in person just cemented the fact that they are one of my absolute favorite artists.

Hera (no Akut) will be having her first solo show at Fifty24SF next month... looking forward to see how the show comes out

yeah sculpted by her... started out as wire, then some other stuff and then a varnish. not sure how much it is though (not even sure if it is for sale)

Hey Rhino, how was the rest of the show? I am really curious about Rene Almanza. I'll have to get over there sometime this week.

i really liked the rene almanza stuff... he brought a bunch of smaller ink drawings and aren't priced too bad, also has some larger brush work too.
