www.findartinfo.com/search/listprices.asp?keyword=47153This link takes you to: Findartinfo.com Free auction price database for ANDY WARHOL (and many other artists too). This is a very extensive listing of 219 pages.....it will keep you busy for awhile I'm sure !! NOTE: The only problem is you have to remember the page clicked-on because it doesn't change colors....(so, you can lose your place easily). Otherwise, this free service is great for collectors interested in Andy Warhol. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- en.wahooart.com/A55A04/w.nsf/Opra/SRVV-7EYFU6This link goes to: WAHOOART.COM____biography on ANDY WARHOL. Now I'm really stumped...because I can't think of any other Warhol I love more than this painting. I remember the first time I saw it in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art...it took my breath away and I felt light-headed. For me, this work was awesome indeed. Got to see it about 6 more times through the years and it never failed to move me. An interesting piece of history - letter to Warhol. Don't know how I missed this thread for so long - that letter is great Hung! The resulting album that finally materialized was "Sticky Fingers" - the original (short-lived) release had a real zipper on the front and "secret underwear" picture rubber stamped by Warhol hidden under the front cover. The real zipper scratched the backs of other albums in stacks at record stores and some refused to carry it based on the underwear photo etc (you had to actually rip the cover apart to see the whole image and to see if yours was stamped by Warhol (there are others ways to tell) but kids didnt know or care back then! Throughout the years as I have come across these at resale stores/garage sales etc I have grabbed them up - I have a few in various states (one mint, still sealed). Below is one in nice condition that has been separated to see the inside photo - this one I leave out as a conversation piece so people can see all of Andy's touches to it.. Jim

I'm sure most have seen these, but this documentary about the Warhol Authentication Board must be watched. Craziness.
This is obviously just the first segment, the rest of which are all accessible right there.

Lowpro's post on the Warhol authentication board is a MUST SEE. The sound and video quality is poor, the audio doesn't synch with the video, but still a MUST SEE.
After seing that video, I'm scared to even contemplate buying a Warhol --not that I could afford it. His lackadaisical attitude towards making art was ground breaking at the time, but kinda problematic. Hence, the authentication board, right?
I guess this video answers my previous post about Jeff Koons and how history might view him. If history does repeat itself, which it does, then Koons will go down as a genius like Warhol despite his lack of physical interaction with his art.
My money still goes to the Robert Williams and Todd Schorrs of the world.

Still have my Committee 2000 S/N serigraph I purchased from Martin Lawrence years ago. One of the weaker images but i wanted a Warhol and it was cheap.
My dream Warhol would be the Mickey W/Diamond Dust from the Myths Series. (38 x 38)
If you could have any Warhol which would be your choice? General question for everyone.

www.onewordmovie.ch/This link goes to: " ONE WORD MOVIE "__2005 high-speed program developed by Beat Brogle & Phillippe Zimmerman. After you arrive, click tiny MOVIE WINDOW button ( far upper left corner of page ). Then click FULLSCREEN BUTTON (upper right corner next to the redX button ). Type Andy Warhol in the searchbar__and simply click SEARCH. When menu pops up check the box saying ALLOW ACCESS FOR MOVIE ON THIS SITE. ___________________________Last, click ALLOW on the same menu and watch approx. 40 minutes of animated WARHOL paintings, prints and drawings. Often the menu doesn't pop up ......in which case you'll place Andy Warhol in the searchbar and click SEARCH to start your video. If you decide to enter another artist's name you can use your backspace key to make Andy Warhol's name disappear (while his video is still in progress). When you click SEARCH button for your new artist the Warhol video stops and your new one starts. STOP video by placing your cursor at lower right corner of screen and right-click your mouse. START video again by left-clicking your mouse as you hover on-screen. FOOTNOTE: After Beat Brogle & Phillippe Zimmerman perfected this program for safe-use they won the 2005 NETARTS.ORG GRAND PRIZE !! ( and don't ya think they deserved it ?? ). P.S. When I placed Mark Rothko in the searchbar the animation of his minimal abstract expressionist paintings was awesome indeed !! You may want to try it yourself. Use your backspace key to make Warhol name disappear....then, type in Mark Rothko before clicking SEARCH button (which will automatically stop the ongoing Warhol video and start the new artist's video). _______________________________________________________ Signed: Robert Singletary__Thursday October 7, 2010__3:05 P.M.
