She has started on her Rome show, will be trying to stay with the feel of how her skateboard commission looked like. A darker wood. I think it looks great!

That would be amazing if she did a years worth of worth on dark wood. I think it would mirror her current pieces really well, but also bring out more detail and harder line work. Very sexy.

What are her OG prices at like now? 10 Gs +? i think 6-12K range for nice paintings, several were 3-5K but less detailed maybe not on wood. drawings were like $750. look here www.copronason.com/AUDWEB/index.htmljust sell a couple prints homey, then ur good to go.

What's her exhibition schedule so I start lurking a spot on a list so I eventually get to go far in debts to own my own piece before they go up to 20k?

Those were her gallery prices at Copro...but the show was an instant sell-out and her prices on the secondary market are even higher. She only has two "real" shows on the horizon...Mondo Bizzaro in September and Jonathan Levine in 12/09...so she certainly isn't flooding the market with new work.
If prices at Mondo Bizzarro are the same as the Copro prices, then you're automatically looking at a 50% markup due to the Euro exchange rate alone. If you find a nice piece on the secondary market I wouldn't hesitate to pay those prices. Her stuff is only gettting harder to acquire, and her prices are only going up (IMO, of course).

I wuoldnt hesitate to pay those prices if its a piece I really love with all my heart.
There's Asai I on EB me thinks, but I dont have the money right now. Also, getting a Kawasaki --considering I'm sill a student -- would involve a lot. Getting on a list for something in 2009-2010 (I finish school in April.) would be more reasonable considering my situation.

Aisai 1 is no longer available (the info on EB is incorrect).
I shudder to think what her prices will be like by the time the Levine show rolls around.

Yep! Bad timing... but at least I have 4 of her prints I got on her site for retail, which consoles me a little.

If prices at Mondo Bizzarro are the same as the Copro prices, then you're automatically looking at a 50% markup due to the Euro exchange rate alone. I doubt they will price it that way... take a painting that sold for 12k US at copro... and price something similar a few months later at 12k EURO...

Really?!? I'd be very surprised if they don't. For Europeans, the Euro is worth the same as the USD is for us...so why wouldn't they at least charge the same prices? Sucks for us...but then, our economy is in the toilet. Not their fault, and certainly no reason for them to lower prices.

The US paintings that I've seen on sale in Italy and the UK were always priced with the exchange rate taken into account. Meaning if it cost $2K here, it cost 2K euro there which came out to $3K here. I missed out on a lot of things that way, where I was willing to pay that price in dollars, but not euros.

sucks as a buyer... but it's a good thing you are all set with audrey now he'll never be set lol. So true. I'm ready to admit I have a problem...I'm just not ready to do anything about it. :-D And I still think that regardless of the exchange rate, you are much better off trying to get a piece in Rome than waiting 15 months for Levine. 15 months is a long time for prices to appreciate in the secondary market (especially with no new product to go around), and the prices at Levine are sure to be totally insane.

I called Copro the other day, to find out when they'd be ready to pick up (for LA locals), and they told me the first batches would probably come in sometime at the end of next week or the following. I can hardly wait.
