I'm finally gonna own something from Stella. This selection is awesome. Who usually makes the selection for what becomes a print? The artist or gallery or both? I only ask, because G1988 is on a roll. They seem to know which images are best to make into prints...

Original Sketches as the super chases I thought that was a secret LOL It WAS. Though I may or may not have heard it through a little bird before. Stella sent an email out this afternoon: "NEW PRINTS : ALSO, i believe they will be releasing a mini print set of my older works, some of which include a surprise chase print, as well as an original sketch of mine. (because of time constraints, i'll only have 25 original sketches done). view the print set here! alongside the miniprints, they will/may be also releasing a limited edition print (not mini) of one of my new pieces, so please check their blog or my blog sometime in the next 2 weeks. either way, please contact the gallery for more info." Secret no more!

A drawing, canvas, or tea-stained paper one? Well, none. I was referring to the mini prints! : ) After the prices I saw at the Lineage Gallery show (that was her last show, right?), I can't afford her OGs anymore (or at least don't want to fork out that kind of money). But if I were able and willing, I'd definitely target a CANVAS! The image on the postcard looks awesome! Can't wait to see the FULL image. I hope THAT becomes a print...

Thanks for the info. That's too bad. For sure I thought it was just a portion of something more epic. Sigh. AND I thought it was for sure a canvas. The colors in that are awesome. I know she's known for her work on tea stained paper... but personally, I think she should pursue canvas or wood. That's just my taste.

Those are the two I really liked, I also liked the last piece on the blog: I'm still hoping to get one of her tea stained pieces though.

finding link wasn't the problem, but my ability to acquire one of her pieces will be. I'm with you, I doubt I'll be able to get a piece, at least one that I really want. I have a feeling I'm going to be working when the preview is posted and miss out on everything. I'll be lucky to get a print. On a positive note this is my favorite piece so far:

On a positive note this is my favorite piece so far: well the preview is usually the day of the show so friday at around 11 am or 12 am. they will give a time when the preview link will go live and then you have to call in exactly at that time. i would start calling as you are looking at the preview otherwise you will miss it. hopefully you have internet at work.

Any clue on how much her OGs will run? Does G1988 do any sort of layaway plans ever? There's a few of these I would consider moving some of my bigger items for possibly......

Never heard of layaway plans but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. Her pieces typically run 2-3K not too bad in the general scheme of things. You getting into OG's now...? Nice, move some of ur prints.

I noticed when I was at the Richard Goodall Gallery's website that they had a link for interest free "Own Art Loans" you could borrow up to £2,000(that's like $4,000) and pay back the loan in 10 monthly installments - interest free! here:
The Own Art scheme is designed to make it easy and affordable for everyone to buy contemporary works of art and craft including paintings, photography, sculpture, glassware and furniture.
You can borrow up to £2,000, or as little as £100, and pay back the loan in 10 monthly installments - interest free.
Arts Council England aims to put the arts at the heart of national life. One of the ways we do this is to encourage people to live with art they love. We also want to help artists live by their creative output and support galleries who sell high quality contemporary art.
The only catch is you had to be a permanent UK resident. It sucks because I doubt there's anything like that here in the States.
