piece looks pretty solid. would love to see a Hi Res image. looks like he is getting the bigger works down now. I personally was not a huge fan of the other two larger works, "Burst" and "Sowers" ,but this is a whole other level.

Am I the only one who finds it funny, that it's not the JK board to first showcase Stampede in full glory?
Great work Sleepboy, thanks for sharing!

The detail in his Buffalo, the dirt and grass was unbelievable. But I think the little fox was my favorite part of the painting. Totally agree! Sowers is waht brought me over the edge on Josh's work, too. Still my favorite of his images. You have to see this in the flesh to appreciate it. And about Stampede: I really like it and will definitely replace my desktop wallpaper when I get hold of a high res image, but for my walls at home, I prefer Sowers.

SOOOOO freaking stoked on this painting. If only this show was in LA so I could see it in person... looks pretty amazing! i kinda wish he had offset the body of the orca a bit from the above ground dorsal fin. i like his water images the best when they demonstrate some refraction of light. regardless - amazing piece! also love the fact that this is on one panel as opposed to two panels (a la 'sowers')

I thought sowers was only one panel as well, until I saw it in person. And if we are going to get all picky, where's the cross street, why does the dorsal fin seems a little too strong (do you really think it could break through that pavement), and why is the post office box logo on the right side facing the wrong direction. Also why is the pavement only a little bit shorter than than the wood panel , makes me think it's a painting and not real life.

Now you are getting me all confused. I always thought he takes pictures and then just paints the background white?

as I stated on JK forum - I really like this piece - the color palette (quite yellow, but definitely not too yellow), all the shadows and reflections, the animals involved, and the way the bear is barely touching the water with his paw... I wonder what is the story behind this one..

just received LeVine newsletter regarding the upcoming show: "Migration features a series of paintings on panel, drawings on paper, and a ten-foot canvas entitled Stampede, the artist’s largest painting to date."and a bit more info on this piece: "A bright orange tiger rests contently on top of a graffiti covered dumpster, staring intensely at a pack of wolves, scavenging whitetail deer scraps from the tiger’s morning hunt. Below the smooth floodwater surface, glides a great white shark. A pair of giant pandas, marooned on a submerged jeep, watch with curiosity as the shark’s fin circles by."mmmmmm....
