has anyone heard from jlg / bought a piece yet? I emailed the gallery a week on a long shot and got back what appeared to be an automated response Thank you for your interest in the gallery and our artists....Please look forward to hearing from...
Never heard anything back I know BIG long shot but I had David put me on his waiting list over 3 years ago. I guess different gallerys have separate waiting lists.

They certainly have separate lists. It just depends if they decide to use them.... Know your gallerists ladies and gents.

from newsletter I just received from JLG:
**If you are waiting for the Josh Keyes preview, please note that we expect to send this out tomorrow morning/afternoon. This will not, however, be a pre-sale. If you are in line to receive a Josh Keyes piece you will be contacted directly as the quanitity of work is extremely limited. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Yeah, I do know my "gallerists" and I know they have separate lists that's why I said "BIG long shot". +1... Unless you have a seriously good relationship with JLG you will not be purchasing a Keyes from this show. Same goes for Geddes next fall, and usually with Kawasaki as well. So if you want a Geddes for next year, and you have deep pockets, I recommend you pick up one or two of the Fosik's works to start that relationship on a high note. I have always found JLG to be a bit, um, challenging to deal with. I would never consider buying a piece of art from a gallery just to start a good relationship with them.

If we don't already have one, it would be nice to have a "Gallery Reviews Section." I think it would be great to be able to rate various galleries based on our experience with them. I don't believe there is one, but feel free to create one in the "General" section if you want, it would certainly help to direct conversations like that there to avoid leading individual artists thread off track although a little of it is inevitable.

I prefer to call it a discussion. 2nd, Sleep, I vaguely remember some sort of thread here about that but I'm not sure. As I remember it was a bit heated and folks were a bit worried about posting in fear of being blacklisted or something (don't bite the hand that might feed you). 3rd, I hope you all that are attending the opening have a great time, from what I've seen it looks like Keyes outdid himself once again! and take some pictures to share here.

Very excited to be able to attend the show tonight. How many artchival members will be in the house? If you're in town do try to make it as this show looks INCREDIBLE.... IMHO. Also Josh will be there and he's super nice.
I'll be wearing a panda hat. Bring some bamboo and come say hi.

I got a preview, only 5 paintings. Quite impressive though, one measures 60 x 120 inches the others 30 x 40 inches.

I believe the 30 x 40 jumped up to $17.5 Heartbreaking to hear. I suppose with the demand as high as it is, this was only a matter of time. The new pieces are stunning and the details are on a whole new level. Wish I could have made it out to the show to see these in person
