oh those studies are great! yes! those are excellent. I played with Photoshop last night, and its crazy how they match the paintings in every single detail: btw, there are some show photos up on ArrestedMotion:

Interesting show. Not quite sure how I feel about the new work. Technically amazing. The water on "Tangled II" is some next level stuff. The only thing I wonder about is where is it going to go from here? Despite the advance in technique, everything is so predictable. I really would like to see him branch out and show outside of the United States or in a more respected type gallery. I think now that his skills are honed, he may be ready for this.
I do love the work and am probably being picky more than anything. Just some food for thought.

I played with Photoshop last night, and its crazy how they match the paintings in every single detail: I would guess that he is using his prelims to produce the originals in some way. I would guess he enlarges the image and then traces them out on board before painting.

I love this new body of work & love the new painting style. These have to be Josh's most improved efforts in terms of painting ability.

There doesn't appear to be one yet.
"The print will be available through a post on our homepage (section entitled “HOME”) at said scheduled date. Let’s all work together on this so we can avoid any server problems."

I followed Josh's print releases from the very beginning and with the exception of a couple releases (Sowers, Stampede) I must admit that most were a mess. I feel so sorry for all the international folks that lost out this time due to that paypal error. I had already decided to go to bed again around 05:40 or so, but thanks to reading a post on the JK forum that the paypal button for international orders was suddenly working I was able to score one, and that from my mobile while lying in bed And thanks to a late evening beer in the first place that had me wake up at 05:05 AM as I had forgot to set my alarm clock, or apparently I thought I had set it when I didn't (you could also blame the beer for that, haha).
