I love those books. Very jealous of whoever has one in their collection. me too (love the rgb colorspace books: taubaauerbach.com/view.php?id=286&alt=697) i think they are/were only available to museums/public collections, so not much point in jealousy over that (if there is any point in jealousy). as far as i can figure out, they are editions of 3 and each edition has all 3 variations through the rgb cube (referred to as "volume 1, 2, and 3" here: www.standardoslo.no/en/artist/tauba_auerbach/works/page/2)

These are incredible. New additions to the show. Or at least they weren't part of the Bergen presentation.

A first glance I thought these were Tomokazu Matsuyama.

These are incredible. New additions to the show. Or at least they weren't part of the Bergen presentation. these come from her "shatter"series, which started in 2009 with her trying to create 50/50 black & white work via shatter technique (where she breaks a piece of glass on top of the panel, then removes a shard, paints the void, returns the shard and repeats the process - initially she was attempting to paint each void 50% black, leaving 50% white www.taubaauerbach.com/view.php?id=157) it looks like she started the color shatter works around the same time www.taubaauerbach.com/view.php?id=159 - however, the ones in this show look new (and maybe bigger than the work before). i liked the b/w 50/50 shatter pieces in person - something mysterious about them and their beauty, even knowing the system that put them together, close to sublime. i'd want to see the color ones in person (i liked the effect of trying for 50% spray that she achieved with b/w ones).

I prefer the back and white ones on the site to the color ones.

On the screen I can't get the image of the Blue Meanies artwork for the Beatles Sgt Pepper out of my head. Shame as I love the manner that she created the work

they don't do much for me at first glance either. there are only small portions of each piece that even look like Tauba's work.

Image size 31¾" x 23¾" Paper size 40¼" x 30" Edition of 40
Very pricey, but each is unique. I was told that they are selling quickly and a price increase will happen very soon.
