I agree that the Lafe Eaves work is better than the Tauba piece too.
Nice Eric Shaw work. He's having a Solo show at Park Life in June.

Eric Shaw's work gets better and better. I remember him from when he lived in Boston and made t-shirts. The Lafe Eaves is charming too.
All very nice volvic, thanks for sharing.

That's a good 'un. The rest of the show was fantastic as well. It was a pleasure to see his work in person.

There's that third tondo! Patience has certainly paid off on that one.
The Os Gemeos is the best small one I've seen. Something to aspire to for 2013.
And the Tim Barber looks fantastic.

Always been rather unimpressed with the Twins' portraits, but this is one of the stronger ones I've seen thanks to the pup and the signature house-crown. Good stuff!
Such a classic Barber too!

Always been rather unimpressed with the Twins' portraits, but this is one of the stronger ones I've seen thanks to the pup and the signature house-crown. Good stuff! Such a classic Barber too! I have to be honest and agree with you on that point low pro. Some of the portraits i have seen seem rushed and quite hash dash (The pieces in the prism show) but i felt like this piece (along with a few others i have seen over the last year) had a 'finished' feel to it and made me feel like it was a small but 'solid' example from the twins with the multi layer stenciling, classic elements and the dog (who seems to stare at you from wherever you sit in the room) The twins can do no wrong in my book and i am glad i played the waiting game for the right piece to show up.

I think this particular potrait by the brothers is terrific. Perhaps the best I've seen. And the eyes on the dog are indeed riveting. Add to this the fact that the colors in the shirt both pop and are soft at the same time, and this is definitely a home run.

Volvic the Os Gem is stunning! I've mentioned on another thread that the dog was called 'Pinky' or 'Miss Pink' and was very close to both of them so I'm my mind makes it a very special piece. I had the opportunity to buy lots of Os Gem canvases about 3 or 4 years ago and I'm kicking myself for only buying one...congrats on getting a good one!
