I have been a member a while, quietly observing some great discussions and debates. Thought I might get a bit more involved. Seems like a real cool diverse place to be.

So a few things from my collection that keep a silver lining on that cloud.

Thanks folks. Will stick up some more images later when I get a chance.

The OS Gem is on wood and the frame measures 38"x25" just to give you some idea of scale

did you order the acrylic to size and then mount them in yourself?

i've been thinking of buying some frames from acrylidex this week, but am unsure of how to do it without them touching the inside face of the front piece.

have a few paper pieces i'd like to do like this, but am a little nervous about having to do it myself...

I selected a 10mm gap so the artwork does not touch the acrylic. The options allow you to pick up to 10mm as standard without additional cost. My framer hinged them for me for free (he gets quite a bit of business from me).

I picked the double acrylic but next time I would go for the acrylic box frame. The double acrylic have a slight air gap at the back that needs to be tape off of to seal the artwork.

I like your Auerbachs a lot, particularly together and in those lucite frames (are they non-glare like museum glass?). Can't say I'm a Kaws fan at all, but I think yours is a really great example of his work and it even changes how I think about him (a bit), so I can imagine how happy you are to have it. Finally, I've posted elsewhere my thought that Roa didn't translate well to the gallery even though I have a lot of respect for what he's doing, but I think your piece may be the exception. It's great and really works in a home setting- one of the more subtle pieces I've seen of his and the green background is lovely
