I really like this show and think these "fold" works have gotten better and better as time has gone by. People have told me that they think they are moody, but I find them very soothing and contemplative. Too visually close to Tauba? Perhaps. Conceptually, not as much. Ill be following her work closely.

i'm not familiar with those works but i quite like it. I've heard Sam's work should be included in group museum show at Mart in Rovereto (Italy). i'm not sure but if i remember well the name of the show is "the magnificent obsession".

still trying to understand why she is so HOT right now. perhaps I am missing something Have you had a chance to view them in person? Standing in front of one of those 10ft'ers just does it for me. Gives me that warm, "I could get lost in this for hours" feeling. Are they a bit decorative? Sure. Is she a committed artist, working in multiple mediums, definitely. Looking back at her short career, there is definitely a nice evolution leading to these current ink works.

The online images I have seen look decent but nothing I have seen grabs me and makes me want to find out more.

And let me potentially walk this back. They don't list the dimensions on Amazon, probably because it is tiny. 5" x 7", so the images are very small and do not aid the appreciation of her work anywhere near as much as they could/should. Look online for images, save them to your computer, and you would be just as well off. If you are interested in Moyer, wait for a proper book. This one is a missed opportunity.

That estimate is WAY off. That is probably $2500-$3500 at primary. Is she really that hot right now?

I think she is hot. All the pieces in Bruxelles show are sold or on reserve (all big paintings, prices 15.000-25.000). Current show in a very cool gallery in Canada and Mart museum in Italy. the piece at paddle 8 is very nice, but it's a paper, not a canvas.

Don't know, but just after the opening the gallery told me it was almost sold out or in reserve from people that were at the opening.
Just noticed that the work at paddle 8 was included in the greater NY at PS1. This should have a pubblication then. Not bad at all.

I've just heard from the galleries both in Europe and Usa that at the moment no works are avaliable. I know that there will be three works at Art Brussels and I don't know if they are already sold.

There was one on Canvas at the Whitney Art Party for $5250 I think.. it was up for a day or 2 but someone got to it...
