Mark Ryden, Gary Baseman, Tim Biskup and KRK Ryden collaboration. They used to do one of these every year at San Diego Comic Con and auction it off. WOW ive always wanted to see a ryden brothers collab! your colllection is amazing! and please do show some of the disney peices especially if you have any from Glen Keane,(or any of the other nine new men like andreas deja) or some of the nine old men Mark Ryden painting 26 x 34, signed Ryden on the girl's hair. I saw this on ebay once, butttt i wasnt so sure it a genuine ryden. I was put off by the singature because, from what i had seen even his early illustration peices which this was, (as said in the ebay ad) the signature was the same. Did you get it confirmed that it was done by him? Beautiful peice none the less

Thanks pricklypete and bluecat, I'll add a few Disney pieces. Just picked this up yesterday from a friend, it's a collaboration of Mark Ryden, Camille Garcia, Tim Biskup and Gary Baseman, this is one of the nicer ones that they've put together, it flows nicely. WOW thats insane!! i remember seeing that before at the limited addiction forum! i presume it was an auction done at comic con! congrats!

I'm going to pass on the book because I already have the $28 one. yeah same here, its not as good as the fushigi or the tree show one was, yeah the tree show did not have a print but was much nicer IMHO that and the print itself is well meh. The tree show special edition, i pretty much gave away most of the stuff aside from the cards and the pin. i had the pennent and the pencil from before. The book and the case was what i cared about the most as it was signed and i missed my chance to go to the signing. if the price on the print portfolio was cheaper id go for it, i have a feeling it will be up for quite some time like the tree show special edition as will the snow yak show one.

Well the portfolio is very much like the spectaculum carnis portfolio that was sold back in 1998 for the meat show, in fact its the exact one with the diffrent paintings and the fact that the colopon and all the prints are signed and numbered, which i belive is the reason its more. i thinkthe bunnies and bees one wasnt that much more because it wasnt really a hand made box and the prints were not glicees
but yeah $4750 is pretty steep

thanks guys i should ask Joe about it if possible as well. Just in case it ends up being like that guy that tried to sell a fake Biskup on ebay. and I agree it is indeed too much money to be duped.

so this would be number 4 in the number of easel paintings done by Michaelangelo, the other being his one of schongaouers saint anthony tormented by demons, which he did when he was just 13, that was authenticated and now hangs in the kimbell art museum in texas.
though im kinda doubting this is a real mike.

Sven has my favorite Sorren work of all time, I am also the owner of a Sorren painting probably the most unknown he has ever done, but Sven is my most favorite work of Sorrens. svenman ah that one congrats, I shall enjoy seeing it. highbrow, just be happy you have one my friend, as IMHO his work is always a delight, and your peice is just beautiuful as well. I love the blues and the skin tones and the colors in general and how they catch the light. I hope to get a commission soon when I can afford one, but in the mean time i am delighted by the drawing i have that he did of me.

I have been thinking after having a good browse at all members Outstanding and Amazing collections is how the heck do you all manage to buy and pay for these pieces?? just buying one artist original would max my C-card up in one swoop also if my wife knew she would pack my bags for me and leave them on the front lawn for when i got home from work Lol. I have very large and very greens eyes right now, you sure are lucky people. just know when to buy and what to purchase, and buy pretty much what you like not for the value but the fact you like it. i mean i have a marion peck original that i bought but not many others bought because it wasnt in her signature style, but i bought it cause well, its pretty nice, and its a marion peck. also ask the artist themselves as well.

currently thinking about when i will get my money back from that ryden peice i was going to get from that guy, so i get finally get a Ryden that i do not have to worry about the authenticity of.
aside from that I also am thinking of when I should finish up my own peices and what to paint next

My favorite artist of all time. I'm considering buying an AP of Daddy's Girl, through his manager Frankie. how do you get in touch with his manager? is it through birdbath?
