thanks for your inputs guys.. so is this "acid free tape" that my framers are mentioning, an alternative to Japanese Paper and wheat paste, or is a completely different thing!? also, as a complete newbie Im wondering does the print need to be taped at all if nicely pressed in betweek back board, back mount and window mount!?.. that sounds like most harmless way to do it, but Im sure there is a catch Im not aware of... thanks!

Water-soluble conservation gummed white paper mounting tape is acceptable but pressure sensitive archival conservation tapes are not recommended for use directly on the picture.

Window mount gives the extra borders, so its generally has extra "space" in the lower side. Besides, and i think the main support of the frame to seal it would be the tape seal at the back and some nails or something that might go loose at one point.......wanna give it a try? Cheers!

yeah, I was also guessing it might drop a bit or something during time.. as for "acid free tape" part, I hate it how many different, similar names are out there for these things.. English is not my first language, and Im try to find a framer in Amsterdam (and I dont speak Dutch), so things can get VERY confusing...

Has anyone framed any of their Tauba etchings in a non-white frame?

^ I'd go simple, Black Tray frame with no glass (maybe 1/2" spacing between board and frame).

Need some help with picking a frame for this Dan May's piece (acrylic on board): Thanks in advance! This frame job really goes with Dans art (IMO). You could try something a little bit more "out there"
