Looks good in white, but I think adding a patina or something to add with depth and shadowing would make it look insane. I love stuff that looks aged & weathered by time. When I look at one of his original sculture pieces like this, there is tons of stuff I would have missed if not for this type of finishing. I am not really into that medium really (so take this for what its worth), but I appreciate the detail. In fact I am actually awestruck by it. Great job.

I'm a bit hesitant to paint it because i'm not sure how good i'd be at airbrushing, weathering and dry brushing. In theory the process isn't that hard but in execution it defnitely is. Thanks for the feedback ...

thanks, amin and peetov! Epic, tough to say bud. It's been an ongoing project for months. I can't really put a number on the hours seeing as how i'd just go into the garage and work for 10 hours one week and none the next.

My first caricature. Inspired by a phone call with the father of Lowbrow/Conceptual Realism, Robert Williams. I was going for the old MAD Jack Davis feel. Ink on paper, color in Photoshop.

Hello All, its been a while since I have posted, but I thought I would try and plug my own stuff. My wife and I recently completed our website ( www.riceandbeans.me) and have been very busy preparing for a few events coming up: we are in a group show this coming weekend at Fabric8 Galleries called "Supernatural", and the following weekend is Spring Open Studios in the Mission District. So if you are in San Francisco, please come by as both events should be great. (There is more information on our blog ( riceandbeansart.wordpress.com/Anyway, let us know what you think, and hopefully after open studios in a few weeks I will have more time to start frequenting the boards again as it looks there is a lot I have to catch up on.
