Thanks for the compliments on the collection, you guys. Here is my pride and joy, a commission by my dear friend Andrew Hem. Following up on something he told he'd been wanting to try a few years ago, I asked him to make an hommage to the famous abstract portraits of Chuck Close, via a jumbo version of his trademark matchbox collages. It took him 255 matchboxes and six months to execute, but he really rose to the challenge.  Here are a couple of close-ups.   This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Congrats |
